The Experience ITE Centre (EIC) at ITE College East opens its doors to some 6,000 secondary 2 and 3 ‘N’ level students every year. Supported by 46 participating schools, the 1½ day programme introduces visiting students to the skills training available at the College. Students are guided to complete hands-on projects offered by the 4 Schools.
Apart from giving the visiting students exposure to the different training skills and to help them understand how the various disciplines are interconnected in the working world, each student will also be involved in a multi-disciplinary project.
A Glimpse of Campus Life
Over the 1½ days, visiting students will enjoy campus tours that serve to familiarise them with our teaching and recreational facilities, as well as to provide them with a glimpse of ITE students at lessons and play. Student visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in CCAs offered by the College, such as archery and rockwall climbing.
Helping Students Make an Informed Choice
Having gone through the Experience ITE programme, we believe our young visitors will be able to better identify their interests and passions. This will help them make wise decisions and start planning their life goals ahead.
The Experience ITE Centre, which opened in March 2005, is open to the public during certain times of the year. We welcome visits from schools, junior colleges and the community. Those who are interested in participating in our hands-on projects or viewing the Centre’s activities and touring the campus can email Ms Fiona Karan.
