Moving ahead, ITE College East will be rolling out comprehensive student exchange programmes with Korea, Australia, Hong Kong, Canada, USA and possibly China. At the same time, we will also be firming up the international students support systems in ITE College East to ensure at all international students studying at the College will benefit from the programmes that we have in place.
Student Exchange Programme with Hong Kong Vocational Training Council (VTC)
In 2006, ITE College East made a breakthrough in the execution of the first formal overseas student exchange programme in ITE with ITE’s overseas partner, Hong Kong VTC. ITE College East is the first College in ITE to send students to Hong Kong IVE and at the same time host their students at the College. Hong Kong students spent 4 weeks on industry attachment and a further 2 weeks studying at ITE College East. In turn, ITE College East sent students from the School of Business & Services and the School of Applied & Health Sciences to Hong Kong to gain valuable overseas experience and exposure.
Through this formal collaboration established by ITE and HK VTC, students of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) will be given the opportunity to study at ITE and ITE students will also be able to experience studying in Hong Kong.

As part of ITE’s commitment to being a leader in technical education for the global community, formal partnership agreements have been established with VTE Colleges in Hong Kong, Vietnam, China, Australia and Korea for students’ exchange programme. Not only will ITE students be able to attend part of their courses at an overseas institution, international students from the various ITE partner institutions can also be hosted in Singapore by ITE.
