The Student Development Centre provides 7 tracks of enrichment programmes to ensure that our students receive a holistic educational experiene at ITE College East. These tracks will give students the opportunity to gain full advantage from their study in the College and develop their diverse interests and talents. The 7 Student Development Tracks are as follows:

1. Academic
Under this track, students may pursue their private “O” or “N” Level course. Under the tutelage of our lecturers, students will be guided on the GCE “O” syllabus to prepare them for the GCE “O” examinations.

5. Leadership Development
We aim to make leaders out of the students. Through student seminars, leadership camps, training programmes and talks, we will unleash the leader in them. The Basic Leadership ActivistZE (BLAZE) programmes will be conducted throughout the year, during the ITE vacation period. These training camps will equip the students with an understanding of leadership principles and skills. Amongst others, students will get to explore their personal leadership styles, build a team, lead with goals, learn to make better decisions, guide other through conflict and initiate change.

Apart from formal training, students will also be able to take part in experiential learning by performing leadership roles by joining the Student Council (hyperlinked to Student Council Page) or the Bridge Leaders Club.

6. Personal Development
To provide a well-balanced education for the students, this track is designed to enrich the students’ life at the College. The various types of enrichment courses under this track enable our students to become more socially competent, and cultivate not only their civic and cultural awareness, but also healthy lifestyles.

Students on the look out for opportunities on self-improvement, be it in social etiquette, confidence skills, communication skills, public speaking, or courses that would improve general knowledge, should look out for the host of activities offered under this track.

7. Technology Development
For students who want to take their skills to a higher level, there is no better way than to join this track where they will be able to meet like-minded enthusiasts. This track will prepare students to hone their skills at a competitive level. Students will be prepared for ITE-wide, national and international competitions, such as the WorldSkills Competition. Some inventions may also be displayed at the Hall of Innovation located at the Customer & Visitor Centre.

Students may visit the Student Development website to view the programmes available.
